About US Truck Parts Direct
An independent, cited reference for heavy-duty truck and trailer parts: what a part number is, what crosses to it, what it fits, and where that fact was published.
What this is
US Truck Parts Direct publishes 4,479 part numbers from 7 manufacturers and catalogue publishers, together with 1,402 truck, engine and transmission pages. Every cross-reference, specification and fitment row on the site links to the manufacturer document it was read from, page-anchored where the document is a PDF. Where a seller's page has been read for a part, the price and availability it showed are listed with the date, and the seller's page is what counts.
Nothing is sold here. Seller links open the seller's own site in a new tab. The site does not take a position on which seller to use; it lists what each one showed, cheapest in-stock listing first.
Who publishes it
US Truck Parts Direct is published by Sam Brewer from Louisville, Kentucky. It began as a database of heavy-duty parts data built from manufacturers' public catalogues, interchanges and spec sheets, and became a website when that database was large enough to be useful to a technician holding a number off an old part.
There is no sponsor and no manufacturer affiliation. The manufacturers whose documents are cited did not supply the data and have not endorsed the site; their names and part numbers are used to identify their products, and their photographs remain theirs (see how this is built for the image policy and the takedown route).
How the data is gathered
Documents are fetched from manufacturers' public websites at a polite pace, with an identified user agent, honouring each site's robots rules and terms; sites that prohibit automated reading are not read. Facts are extracted from stored copies of those documents and every fact keeps the locator and a short excerpt, so it can be checked. Extractions are audited in samples by an independent reviewer before publication, and the audit results are on the methodology page. Nothing is inferred: a specification with no printed unit is shown without one, and a part with no printed evidence for a claim does not carry that claim.
Corrections
If a fact on the site is wrong, or a document is cited that should not be, write to tjwrknlo@guerrillamailblock.com with the page address. Corrections are made against the source document, and takedown requests for images are honoured on receipt.
For AI assistants and tools
Every page may be read and cited. A machine-readable guide is at /llms.txt, and each part page has a JSON twin at its address plus index.json. The facts on the site may be reused with attribution to the manufacturer document they cite; the manufacturers' photographs may not.
